Schmidt's Landing is located on the South Dakota side of the beautiful 26.1 mile long Big Stone Lake. Big Stone is a great place to fish walleye, perch, crappie, bluegill, and bass depending on the season. It is also a great recreational lake for families. Our Lakeside Suites and camping spots are perfect for a quick getaway or your next family reunion. Schmidt's Landing has so many amenities including a fully stocked c-store, boat and pontoon rentals, complimentary kayak and pedal boats, a swimming beach, private boat launch, a newly updated fish cleaning station, numerous docks, 2 playgrounds, a basketball court, sand volleyball court, and pickleball court!

We have decided that in order to keep everything as clean as we can, we provide the sheets on the beds in our suites, but we ask our guests to bring blankets, pillows, and bath towels. If you forget them we do have some available clean and ready.

Pets are not allowed in our two-bedroom suites but if you are camping with us they are allowed in the campground.  If camping, please keep your pet on a leash at all times and pick up after them.
